MCDGI TO CONDUCT SURVEY ON ISLAMIC FINANCE AND FINANCIAL INCLUSION

The Maldives Capacity Development and Governance Institute (MCDGI) is set to conduct a nationwide survey on Islamic Finance and Financial Inclusion.

The work of the survey, as per MCDGI, has already commenced and will be completed by June 2020.

The proposed survey report will enable stakeholders to take measures in future to improve the Islamic Finance literacy and push for further financial inclusion in the country.

The survey is a first of its kind in the island nation and will be collaboratively carried out by an international lead consultant along with MCDGI’s local team.

Established in April 2017, MCDGI is a leading institute in Maldives providing high quality professional training and consultancy services in the country to uplift the professional capacities of the workforce.

MCDGI also supports the corporate sector to uphold the governance standards to the international level.

The survey comes amid President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih’s envisioning towards the development of Maldives as a regional Islamic Finance hub.
