Policy on Adoption Of Good Corporate Governance Practices

Good corporate governance is vital to the maximization of business value and sharing the gains with the stakeholders. MCDGI is committed to strengthening its corporate governance practices and follow international best practices in all aspects of its operations

Environment Policy

As we embark on developing business leaders and developing the capacity of institutions and individuals we would like to contribute to preserving the environment by practicing and promoting environmentally friendly measures. In this regard we have undertaken measures to reduce energy and consumption by using recycled and ‘green’ products. We also provide information to the participants of our programs on preservation of environment, environmental challenges and importance of sustainability reporting etc.

Prevention of Sexual Harassment Policy

The Maldives Capacity Development and Governance Institute MCDGI is committed to creating a healthy working environment that enables employees to work without fear from sexual harassment. Sexual harassment at the work place or other than the work place is a grave offence and is, therefore, punishable.

The MCDGI will operate a zero tolerance policy for any form of sexual harassment in the workplace, treat all incidents seriously and promptly investigate all allegations of sexual harassment. Any person found to have sexually harassed another will face disciplinary action, up to and including dismissal from employment.
All complaints of sexual harassment will be taken seriously and treated with respect and in confidence. No one will be victimized for making such a complaint.

We will follow the Employment Act (Law No. 2/2008), the Law on Prevention of sexual Harassment (Law No. 16/2014) and the Regulation on prevention of sexual Harassment (No: 2014/R-377).
