MCDGI CRISIS COMMUNICATION WORKSHOP COMMENCES

The Maldives Capacity Development and Governance Institute (MCDGI) has commenced its Crisis Management and Crisis Communication workshop today.

The program was attended by a total of 39 participants, with employees from STELCO, Maldives Islamic Bank, Maldives Pension Administration Office, Maldives Monetary Authority, Ensis Investment Plc, Mauritius Commercial Bank, Allied Insurance Company of the Maldives Pvt Ltd, Unique, Dental Care Centre, and individual participants.

The facilitator of the program was Mr Kamran Ziauddin, who has a cumulative professional experience of 27 years. In his career, he has handled diverse projects related to Strategic Planning and Program Management, Quality and Change Management, and Process Improvement with about 15 years spend with Business Continuity and Crisis Management.

As a trainer, he has conducted over 100 sessions to train over 2000 professionals on Business Continuity and Crisis Management – best practice methodology and implementation.

The program examined the different crisis scenarios and develops crisis management and crisis communication frameworks to address the scenarios.

In the program, some examples of real-life events of crisis and how they were handled were also addressed.

Discussions on global crises and the lessons learnt from them were reviewed extensively.
