FINANCIAL LITERACY IN MALDIVES

The Maldives Capacity Development and Governance Institute (MCDGI), a leading training provider in the Maldives for many areas including corporate governance, financial literacy, leadership, corporate risk management, budgeting and planning, internal auditing and so on, is launching a series of programs to uplift the Financial Literacy among the Maldivians at suitable for all people multiple levels.

On that note a 2-hour program is scheduled on 05September 2019 (Thursday) from 4-6 pm at MCDGI Training Hall. This is a tailored program by MCDGI for members and potential members of WOB (Women on Boards) who are directors or potential directors of Companies and state institutions.

This program targeting the directors or director candidates will enable the participants to grasp the Financial statements and corporate performance at a high level. Further, they will be able to ask the right questions at the board level or senior management        level discussions.

The first program will cover the following areas:

–           Introduction to Accounting Concepts

–           Explanations on Profitability, Financial position and Cash Flow Statements

–           Interpretation of Financial Performance

–           Corporate Governance and Financial Reports

These programs could be tailor made to corporates and state sector institutes to suits their non-finance middle and senior management and for the board of directors. An expat resource person is board to deliver the programs to make the highest impact to the participants.
